Seasonal Risks
Insects
Insect bites on the non-haired areas (particularly the stomach) of dogs are very common and appear as red blotches, circles, or target shapes.
Flea and Tick Spray – such as Adams or Frontline brands – will curb bites.
Allergens
This is a very high allergy year due to high rains in the spring. Signs of pet allergies include face rubbing and paw chewing or licking.
Sunburn
If you are going to use sunscreen on your pets, be sure it is PABA-free.
